    Can You ID this Bayonet?

    I found this is my dad's garage. I have no idea what kind of bayonet this is, but it looks like a WWII era German bayonet.

    Can anyone identify this? What is it worth?

    Looks like an Austrian Steyr mod.1912 mauser bayonet.

            Check that, not Austrian, I think it's for a Chilean mauser. Produced in Germany for their contract rifles.

            Just from a quick ebay search, these bayonets are running $50-$65. YMMV.

              And having the bayonet is as good a reason as any for buying the rifle to go with it
