good experience with Firing Line in HB

Well, I went in on Tuesday and signed up for one year membership. The guy i was dealing with was very nice. I think his name was Steve Choi or something... a very nice guy to deal with. I was able to shoot my g17 for the first time.

I've shot at that Firing Line many times and love it. Good facilities and great people.

As for the counter sales attitude, I do almost all of my new gun purchases on-line through www.galleryofguns.com

OODA, on your next purchase, you may want to get a quote from the Firing Line since Davidson's (Gallery of Guns) is one of the wholesalers TFL deals with.

Firing Line in HB is a good outfit. If Steve is the same guy I am thinking of (Asian, somewhat heavyset) he's a great guy. I sold him a Yugo SKS.

As a side note...if you're looking for a quote on a new gun call and ask them. They quoted a Fab-10 at lower than Turner's price.

            FiringLine is overpriced.

If you're going to the one in HB, it might be cheaper for you to try insight which is right off the 91 freeway in cerritos. Assuming you brought your own gun, ammo and targets, it would only cost you the 10 bucks range fee to shoot there all day long. Most the people there are quite nice (although some of my friends say that they are jerks to them) and imo its a pretty nice environment.

Re: Insight. They run hot and cold. The owner guy (his name escapes me at the moment) is quiet and that could be interpreted as being a jerk. Sometimes I see guys working there whose demeanor screams "rookie cop" and they seem to have a bit of a chip on their shoulder. But then there are a coupla really friendly guys and girls too.

They sell guns with okay prices. They've had a Colt XSE in the display case for quite some time; the price is out of the ballpark on that one. I did purchase my last two handguns (a Ruger and a Smith) from them and received what I thought to be excellent deals.

Ive had my pass for almost a year now. Everyone there is great. Plus they have a nice personal touch if you are in there often enough. up until about a month ago i was in there a couple times a week. I dont mind paying a little extra since its only a 10 min drive from home, and its on the way home from work. nice to be able to stop by pay for some ammo and the rental is free for those occasions where you want to do some shootin unexpecididly.
