Hit up some of the search engines in the form linked below. There's usually always a sell on ammo some where with decent or free shipping.

In general there are no specific restrictions on ammo in California, with that said, there's a lot of specific restrictions depending on where you are and what you're doing. If your hunting and are in the California Condor Corridor, you may have to use lead-free ammo for example. If your in Southern California, we have a ban on steel ammo in Forest areas that could start fires. If you just plan to shoot at the local range, I would recommend calling them and finding out what they accept.

Here's a form about the bans on shipping ammo in your area:

If you can ship ammo in, I recommend doing it before February, as things may get sticky with online vendors with the new law going into effect. We will probably need a few months to educate them to person-to-person transfers.

Ordered some ammo a few days ago. Now I'm looking for a magazine pouch. I have my eyes on the fobus double magazine holders. They have both single and double stack versions. I looked all over the internet trying to figure out if the Glock 22 10 round magazines are single or double stack. People are saying its a single stack, but feeds like a double stack. Others are saying it's a double stack. Which one is it!?

Here's a picture of your 10-round magazine. It fills the full volume of the standard double stack however as you can see in the picture it is just a single stack. They basically only use half of the width.

Safe to say I should order the single stack magazine holders?

Just brought my Glock 22 home. Question: is it supposed to be harder to put in a fully loaded 10 round magazine without the slide being locked in the open position? I have to slam it in there with the slide closed, but if its open it goes in easily.

BTW, I just filled out the Glock Guarantee Registration Card. It says no postage necessary if mailed in the USA. Do I just dump it in the mailbox or something? Should I tape it closed so nobody can see my information? I assume I cant put it in an envelope or else USPS wouldn't be able to see the "no postage necessary"

Yes, with a fully loaded mag it will be harder to seat it. The slide will also be quite stiff and notchy until you break it in (after about 200 rounds or so).

Bump for an answer to the Glock registration card question.
