Transporting handgun on motorcycle

My Kimber CDP II gets out of 10 day jail in Sunday and I was wondering if there was an issue transporting it in a backpack on a motorcycle. I'm not sure if the gun case is lockable but I can run a small lock through the zipper pulls on the backpack. Does this satisfy the "locked container" requirement for transport?

Get an Allen locking soft gun case with locking zipper. I carry in my fanny pack on my bike to and from the range all the time. As long as it's locked and unloaded your OK

Yup, I do it all the time! As long as the zippers are tight and you can't work them open with the lock still attached.

i just use a 9$ plastic case that i run a masterlock though for the pistol.

Yes you are GTG. I use a soft pistol case I got at cow palace show for $9, I unload the handgun and lock it up, case has D ring I lock to zipper, and put it on my backpack along with ammo and range stuff,
