    Bolt action 6.5 credmoore

Wow, not sure I spelled that right, but I was going to ask any of you guys if anyone ever heard of a 6.5 bolt gun. If not how difficult would it be to convert a remington model7 predator in 223 that I never shoot, and what gunsmith do you know would do it. Do I have to change the floor plate

    6.5 C is a long action and .223 is short action....no deal...

      6.5 C

The Loaded round is the same size as the 5.56 in length. I' m pretty sure it is in short action that's why people convert their ARs.

6.5 Creedmore is the same length as .308 and people convert their AR-10's to 6.5 C. 6.5 Grendel or 6.5 PPC are the same length as .223 and are the common 6.5mm AR-15 conversions.

Both .308 and .223 are "short action" when it comes to Rem 700 actions.
