    Selling a gun out of state,

    I have a buyer that wants to buy my rifle, but he is out of state, I cant recall were to look or were to find the info on this,

    What he/ I want to do.... I have an AR that is cali compliant, he wants to buy it an lives in Nevada can I do this or is it not possible?

    yes, you can.

    assumin that it is not a registered AW, and is just an Off-list AR, you can send it to an FFL in NV who will do the paperwork to transfer it to the NV buyer. YOu can't just do a cash-and-carry transfer with the NV buyer, to do so would violat the law.

    The NV FFL will probably need a copy of your CA ID for his records. Send that, along iwth the gun to the NV FFL and you should be fine. YOu can confirm that the NV FFL is legit through ATF's EZ-check website.

      Thanks Ke, I was going to just pm you but I figured it would be better to just ask in the forum...

      anyways, am I also able to just drive to Reno and go to an FFL and complete the transaction that way?

        yup, you sure could. now, that NV FFL might try and tell you that you don't need to use him, that you could do a C&C transfer since you are in NV, but that would be a violation of federal law. Have the FFL do the transfer for you.
