A tip on selling firearm parts/accessories.

I just recieved very positive feedback on warrfifles and the M14 forum on some M14 parts I sold. I have a number of return customers.

My tips:

Pack your parts professionally, especially wood stocks. Bubble rap and air pillows.

When sending parts include a tracking number.

Except for a set of Leupold Remington 700 rings QR dove tail style most of the merchandise I place for sale sells within 7 days. Almost all repeat customers.

I'd add:

Post your price.

First public "I'll take it" gets it

Ship within 1 business day of cashing the check/mo/paypal/whatever

If something happens that causes you to ship late, let the buyer(s) know asap. If you cash the payment, you can get to the post office. If the car breaks down, UPS and Fed-Ex pick up at your place.

PayPal is anti gun, and has been known to lock accounts if they know the transfer is for gun related items. Fact, not hear say.

They don't lock account for "gun-related items" but they have locked accounts when people used PayPal for actual guns and other items that have to go to a FFL. Basically, if you can list it on eBay and stay within their rules, PayPal is OK to use. If the item you are selling is prohibited by eBay firearms policy, it is NOT OK to use PayPal.

NOTE: They are a bunch of liberal scumbags anyway so avoid using PayPal at all costs. (not that we are going to have a huge effect on their mega-business).

I've done a lot of business on ar15.com and ebay, and GOOD communication is KEY (along with honesty of course).

I keep everyone informed throughout the entire process, from receiving their payment to letting them know when item ships (along with tracking #).
