    Long Top Rail?

Does anyone make a long top rail similar to ARMS #36

But one that can lock to the forearm rail system as well as the receiver. The ARMS one only locks to the upper receiver and not the forearm. I want to add a rail forearm system that's not free float however i hate the way they rattle. If they made a long top rail that locked itself to the upper receiver rail and the forearem, it would secure it and make it look better too.

I'm avoiding the freefloat cuz of cost. i want to do this to my 22 conversion AR.

    hope i'm making sense.

Check out Yankee Hill Machine free float railed handguards, they're good quality and economical.

They do not cost enough to make the rifle "tacticool," however. you'll have to settle for regular ol' "tactical."

YHM makes long "bridging" rails for both rifles and carbines - I've never used one, so can't say the pros and cons.

http://www.yankeehillmachine.com/store/rails.html - look at Rail Risers.

Armalite also makes one, but it's designed for their quad rail, and it's not clear whether they work with a standard handguard or railed gas block.

http://www.armalite.com/sales/catalo...unts_rings.htm - see the SPR rail adapter.

Check YHM. Their top rails on forearms will co-witness the top rails of upper receiver.

The LMT monolithic uppers are nice, too. Of course the top rail is one-piece.

Oh, Vltor also makes VIS uppers which look like monolithic.
