    cut up wall hanger

here is a question for those in the know, (i hope)
there is a (non) gun for sale, at one time it was, but not now, it has had the reciver tourched in to three parts,
it is a "suomi-kp" suomi - kp model 1931 or short name of KP31,
this was a sub gun. made back in the 1920's/1930's
the drum mag holds some 70 rounds so it could not be here,
just maybe the stick mags (holds?)maybe 15 - 20 rounds.

this "gun" can not be made to fire, just put back toghter for a wall hanger.

is there a posabilty this gun could be ok to have in ca?

    No reciever = no gun.

Watch out on the magazines, though.

Oh, forgot....if you put the reciever back together, use a LOT of Scotch Tape. It will be so much cooler, then.

The sticks should hold 30 rounds. It's a 9mm, after all.

You could look into getting just a mag body, stick or drum. That wouldn't be a mag, totally legal.

ok so even if the reciver is cut into three parts it is still a evil gun here in ca.

was thinking if just the body of the mag would get them by. (weld them closed to keep the doj happy.

was thinking of putting the reicever back into one part, but as i am not such a good welder there is no way it would ever work again.

          See above:

          No reciever = no gun.
Even if you were a weldin' genius, you couldn't put the reciever back together. It's missing too much metal. IIRC, it's cut 3 times on the diagonal with a significant amount of material removed from the cuts.

Gone are the days of cutting the reciever in half, throwing both peices in a box and rewelding them by the back door (a la Blue Sky).

did not have any plans on trying to repair it,

            i can burn steel,
but not a very good welder,
and then one would need access and knolage of some very pricy milling tools to fix the welds up.

none of this i have or access to.

so if i were to buy this it would just be for the history of the gun.
            (ie: wall hanger)
some guns just look deffernt and others look intersting, need not work to own.

if you can get one into CA, they're neatly engineered

and if you can figure around the open bolt funny-selector setup, you can probably make a CA compliant semi-auto plinker
