Earlier today me and my landlord/hunting buddy went to Retting's because he wanted to buy a Benelli they had on sale (SBE camo for $1000). The sales rep was VERY helpful and showed him about 10 different Benellis before he decided to buy that SBE. Me and him started talking about handguns and he shows me a Desert Storm commemorative 92FS that they had. He knew his stuff and let me fondle it for a good amount of time. Needless to say, I bought it on the spot and I will be going back there for my next gun purchase. I've heard many people having negative experiences there but I walked out very satisfied with the store. They were PACKED with customers (many of them asking dumb questions and being know-it-alls) and we still got very good service.

LOL nope... A few of the established members here know where I work and I definitely don't work for a gun shop. It was my first time in there and I was expecting crap service just because of what I've heard. I thought it was just the one salesman that helped me who was nice and helpful, but I just got off of the phone with them regarding a mag and the guy who picked up was also very helpful. I can't really believe it myself but it's true. I had the best gun shop experience I've ever had.

I've been to Rettings many times. Always had good service. They had a FUD period for a time after the OLL wave began, but they seem to be over it now.

Same guys have been working there forever, with the exception of a very few. While they do layaway, prices are high and ammo can aways be found cheaper.

Their prices on some things are a bit high (a little more or less than Turner's) but they have some good deals. They sold me my 92 for $539 They also had a Nighthawk I really liked that was about $1800. Not bad at all.

my buddy went there and saw a M1 Garand on the rack, he bought it.

When he opened up the stock, he found an original reciept from Martin B Rettings in the 1960's, followed by a sales receipt marked from the 80's from Martin B Rettings.

The gun had been bought and sold at the same store twice

I've been there a number of times. It's a great shop. Beyond the new stuff in stock, it's also like a veritable gun museum where everything is for sale.

Haven't been there for awhile but I found them to be nice, helpfull, friendly...I recommend them as a quality gunshop.

Odd, usually these threads are dominated by stories of Retting's calling everybody a felon when the OLL movement first started and then recently stocking them.

Never been to Rettings but I've been hearing nothing but good stuff about them. I think i'm going to give them a visit and see if they can get me a 10/22..

Glad to hear someone had as good of expierence as I did there ... i heard some bad review about this place, but i have no idea why. They made my first firearm purchase very easy going. Everyone there is knowledgeable, but the man there named Grey knows more than your brain can handle, he can teach you history leasons behind every firearm in that place.

As in regards to their pricing compared to turners, ya turners is cheaper, but every time i go into turners i get a bad not so friendly attitude from all the sales people there. First time i went into Rettings i straight told him im not gonna buy today but this is what im lookin for, he spent like two hours with me, two weeks later i went back and bought my Sig P226

They are good guys at MBR. All gun shops deal with the same crap day in and out. A few visit to these guys and they will know you and be really helpful. Understand these guys answer the same questions every day and they don't get to say "google is your friend"

They are LA adjacent and can sell you the compact guns that LA gun stores can't. Even the new guys rock.

I like that shop, they let you handle whatever you want. They love to talk too, very friendly. Now they have a nice selection of Off-Listers too.. Good shop!
