DD EZ CAR drop in rail vs DD free float rail

I'm building a DD upper and am leaning towards getting the EZ CAR drop in rail.. I'm mainly just going for the look.. is it worth it to spend over $100 more for a free float rail?

If it's just for looks then probably not. From the various discussions I've read I think this sums it up pretty well:

"It won't increase the inherent accuracy of your gun (much, unless whatever is touching the barrel is really interfering with the harmonics), but it will eliminate (or at least reduce) factors that will either affect your point of impact or consistency of point of impact, or both.

As the others mentioned, when you put pressure on the barrel, it will change point of impact to some degree. If that pressure is consistent, then you'll probably only have a shift of point of impact as long as everything stays the same. On the other hand, if you use a shooting sling, or you push or pull on a vertical foregrip, the pressure will vary, so your point of impact will move depending on how much the barrel is deflected at the time the bullet leaves the end of the barrel."
