NEOS recall

I tried the search function but couldn't find anything on this.
I was looking at the Turner's website and noticed that Beretta has a recall on the NEOS pistols. The one I own happens to be affected. What I need to do is ship it to Beretta in MD, they will replace the firing pin and then ship it back...
My question is do they send it directly back to me or must I go through the whole HSC/DROS rigmarole again at a dealer? Is it even legal to send the pistol directly back to me in CA? I tried calling them but their office is closed for the weekend, so I thought I'd ask the Calguns community.

Wrong section. But yeah you can ship it to them, and they should be able to ship it back to your door, no DROS or any of that crap is involved since the gun is still under your name.

Seems like the right section to me. Can an out of state gunsmith legally send a gun back to its owner in CA?

Good to know about the NEOS, I have one and hadn't heard about the recall.

FYI - Beretta has a specific webpage for the recall. You can check visually & by serial number to see if your pistol is affected by the recall. Beretta will issue a UPS "Call Tag" for pickup at your house to send back to the factory - no cost - to be repaired and returned directly to you if you qualify.
