    Next Purchase?

So I've decided to hold off on purchasing new guns for a while.

BUT when it's time again (ie. when I have the cash), I don't know what to get next.

Here's what I have so far:

    Saiga 7.62X39
    Saiga .223
Draco AK pistol (yes, I like my AK's)
Mossberg 500 (in jail until Saturday)
Marlin 795 (in jail until tomorrow)

Looking for something in the under $600 range.
Here are some things I'm looking into:
Mini-14 (I owned one for a short time but got rid of it and got the Saiga .223 instead)
    Saiga-12
    Kel-Tec SU16B/C/CA
    some kind of revolver

I'm mainly looking for something fun to shoot with relatively available and not excessively expensive ammunition. Practicality is not an issue.

    What are your suggestions?

Go for a revolver, looks like you already have long guns covered pretty well

      How about a handgun.

Since you mentioned revolver, I'd suggest a Ruger GP-100 variant in 357 magnum. They are ubiquitous, the cartridges are cheap, and every single rental facility on the face of the planet has the entry level model (4" stainless) available so you can try before you buy.

If you buy preowned you might be able to buy two of them in your price point.

I should mention that we all make recommendations clouded by personal preference. My bias is for double action revolvers and centerfire cartridges.

+1 agree. It sounds like the OP needs more handguns. How about a glock? They don't bite, unlike PPK's. LOL!

narrow down the candidates... and get yourself a combat handgun.

since you have some time on your hands with no purchases pending... go to the range and shoot some of the candidates for purchase that you have assessed to be potentials.

remember reliability is king in a defensive handgun.
