Hey in 3 month's im planning on buying a bolt action rifle, and i really like HOWA 1500 30-06. I can get one for $ 575 Would you upgrade anything on this rifle once purchased? Besides the scope?

Don't even get that scope buy the gun bare, and no you don't need to alter anything it's not a Remington..

They are good rifles. They make the action/barrel for the Weatherby Vanguards. Put a Leupold 3X9X40 on it or a 3.5X10X40 and you will be happy for life if you plan to hunt with it.A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I have plans to pick up a heavy barreled action on gunbroker they run in the $400s. This way you can pick out your own stock and scope without wasting any money. Great rifles, I would get the heavy barrel if you want it for target shooting.Comment
