Question about selling an AR lower

Got a question that I can't find an answer to and hoping you guys or gals can help.
If I purchased a complete rifle like a Stag Arms model 1 can I just sell the lower and keep the upper receiver?

You can strip everything off the lower (serialized part) and give/sell the parts to anyone if you want...the lower receiver is the "firearm"...everything else is just parts

If you sell the lower, you do have to go through an FFL though just to be clear (if shipping out of state you'll need to ship to an FFL in the buyers state...and make sure the receiving FFL accepts firearms from individuals...a lot of them will only accept shippments from other FFLs).

Just make sure that you tell the FFL where you are doing the transfer that it's no longer a receiver, and is now a rifle.

Once a rifle, always a rifle. Even if it's in receiver-only configuration, it's been configured as a rifle so it must be described on the paperwork as a rifle.

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.
