    tannerite containers?

i want to buy tannerite in bulk but am not sure what type of containers to purchase.

is there any specific type I should purchase? i'm assuming i can't just use water bottles, correct?

I wonder how big of a boom you could get if you stuck it in a 5 gallon jug? I'm pretty sure you can stick it in any plastic container

Buy in bulk off the guy on eBay. He will give you a discount for a large order. You can probably ask him for (extra) large containers.

It already comes in 1/2 lb or 1 lb containers. Either way they provide you with a measuring cup to get the right amount of the gray powder stuff to mix with the white pebbles. You combine them in the provided mixing jar and then pour it back into the container with the orange label on it. Then you shoot it

If you want bigger booms, simply tape multiple containers together. It's actually really simple stuff to use but of course you have to be careful. I still remember the first time I made a mushroom cloud. . .

sorry, let me clarify a bit more.

tannerite can be purchased without the plastic containers for a pretty nice discount.

does the stuff need a tight seal?

seems to me that you would want a container that is a large target but contains minimal product

i think a container like a shoe polish can would be perfect

film canisters can be had for free but are a pretty tough shot

deli containers are cheap but do not seal as well as a threaded lid

does it explode if placed in a ziplock bag? a little 2"x2" would seem great unless it needs a tight seal to detonate

I was at my local gun club about six months ago. It was a holiday and the place was deserted. Guy pulled up and asked if I minded if him and his son shot some Tannerite. I said, "go ahead".

First shot was on a small, 20 ounce or so, water bottle filled with the stuff. Big boom.

Second shot he made was on a two liter bottle filled with it. He placed this one 200 yards away and the boom was incredible!!!! You could see the shock wave as it emenated out from the blast zone.

I'm not sure I'd want to be around a gallon sized milk jug of the stuff going off!!!
