    FYI Calguns Bear lowers

JD Machine has made a new run of the Calguns "bear" lowers.
I, for some reason, was not aware of this until the other day.
I was at the riflegear site and saw they had some for sale. At first I thought maybe they were the old ones that have been sold out for the last year or so, but they've got a bunch. Now that i think about, i should have asked for specific serial #.

Anyway i went down and DROS'd one on friday. I think it was $170? something with tax and DROS. A little expensive, but top of the line, and they donate some of the money back to calguns.

If i recall correctly, the last time JD machine stopped making these, they were going in the FS section for 200 dollars or more! This new run is just marked CALGUNS not CALGUNS.NET, btw
Props to Riflegear, i was extremely impressed with the level of service. I was asking about uppers and the owner kept grabbing examples off the wall for me to try out. He also put a call on hold to stay and answer some of my silly questions. Very customer oriented. I will definitely be going back as often as i can afford to.
Also, there moving up the road, and their grand re-opening is monday the 15th i believe.

        Where are they moving to?

And I have one of the first run lowers, too. Nice piece of machining.

          Its right up the road.
I have seen the state logo lowers, and i just liked the bear better. That seems to be the general trend. The bear lowers sell faster than than the state lowers, at least, thats what i was told .
Some people got both with a matching set of serials. That sounds like a pretty cool idea

I plan on buying one of these Lowers for my second AR build. Anyone know how many Riflegear has in stock? Parallax Tactical had them on their site too but it appears as though they may have sold them all. Just need to get off this damn Aircraft Carrier so I can make some phone calls.

Yeah riflegear has the bear lowers. A number of them so i was told. I would call them first, i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that because you're deployed they might hold one for you if you bought it online, but i have no idea, i'm just guessing based on their level of service. The state outlines did'nt seem to be as popular. I dont know if JD is doing a rerun. I know for a long time RG had state outline lowers on their site. I dont know if they still do, i bet they are out there though.

Ok, right behind Mike Thompsons, know where that is.

I might have to buy another Bear lower!

PM bdsmachs. He works there and might be able to help you out until you get off the ironing board.

I talked with JD at the last gun show. They said when they run out they would just run more.

If I ever decided to buy/build an AR, I'd probably get one of these bear or state logo lowers (haven't made up my mind). That way, if/when I moved to Free America, I'd have a souvenir of sorts, for I have lived here practically all my life.
