    CDNN=No firearm shipments to CA

I got an email from them and they had a 4" GP100 I've been wanting to get in .357 and it was only $299. Called up and they still had it in stock but the guy told me he doesn't ship any firearms if they are on the approved list or not here.

Its happening already and there is still a year to go before the new law is in force.

July 08 from what I recall.

CDNN hasn't shipped guns to Cali for years, if they ever did.

All firearms or semi-auto? They would not ship semi-auto into PRK for several years now.

Good catch! Let me amend that: CDNN hasn't shipped handguns into Cali for years, if they ever did. I've never inquired about any other type of firearm.

they would not even ship 10 round magazines to Cali.
they have good prices but they are also useless since you can't buy them here.

Thats not true. I've purchased at least ten 10 round magazines from them and never had a problem with them being shipped to CA.

They use to sell handguns to cali. I bought an HS2000 and a arcus hi-power from them around 2000. They sell mainly closeouts they told me years ago that wouldn't be on the cali list anyway. With their prices they can sell their guns easily and they don't have to figure out or deal with if the gun is listed. Blame Sacramento not CDNN for not wanting to deal with this crap. Mark

                        I blame CDNN.
Lots of what the sell is legit here; they just refuse to do too much bizness with the PRK.
I bought a O/U shotgun from them about four years ago, and then some 10 rd AK mag's; but when they wouldn't sell me a G23 I stopped patroninzing them.

No, still blame Sacramento, but also blame CA customers that don't pay attention to what goes on in Sacramento, or too lazy to pay attention to CA gun legislation.

Much of the problem started after the DOJ approval list derived from SB15 was well into effect, but customers would order handguns from CDNN, having them sent to their FFL, only to find that the handgun had to be returned because the customer overlooked the model name, barrel length, or whether stainless or blued carbon steel. Some customers simply ordered things from CDNN not on the DOJ list at all, completely ignorant of the law.

So CDNN got a bit tired of constantly having to return funds, pay for shipping both ways, or argue with customers ignorant of their state's laws as to why they had to charge customers for those charges anyway. The extra footwork of taking those handguns back into their stock was no fun either.

In some cases, CDNN lost money due to wishing to maintain good customer service, because the customer may have also ordered a rifle, a good amount of accessories or magazines, and CDNN actually gave the customer a break on the error of the handgun sale, not charging that customer for return shipping or re-stock fees.

When sending handguns to California that were later discovered not to be on the DOJ list became more costly than any possible profit, due to customer's errors, THAT is when they stopped shipping any handguns to CA.

I agree - it sucks, it's bothersome, but I will say I have repeatedly received great customer service from CDNN for many years, each and every time, even on follow-up correction of problems due to the manufacturer's error, to no fault by CDNN. They took care of it quickly without question.

CDNN won't sell semi-auto rifles or shotguns to CA either, not as much of list issue there.
Yes, our legislature is horrible, but I will only support vendors who try to help us out; not those who duck the issue entirely.

OK, news to me - I have not heard of any issues with rifles and shotguns (other than I know they won't sell AR/AK rifles to CA even if OLL rifles). However, I have heard of people in CA successfully ordering SKSs from CDNN without issue recently. Maybe this is a recent change?
