I bought a spikes lower with lpk and bb already installed from a member on here, he threw in a mag and told me at the time of transfer to keep the mag in for transport and I'd be fine. Just went to pick it up out of jail and they wouldn't let me take it home without a lock. Didn't have any money on me so I'll have to go back later but was the seller correct or do I have to buy a lock? I never researched this before because I'd never heard of it, seems pointless to me but I don't make the laws. Transfer was done at doms and the guy at the counter said it was a livermore law

I'm thinking because bringing the safe in to prove you have it would be tough.
Seriously though. Yes, you need to buy a lock from the FFL or bring a lock in with a recent receipt (not sure how "recent") or sign the paper stating that you have a safe.
Just the way it is.Guns, dogs and home alarms. Opponents are all of a sudden advocates once their personal space is violated.

It would be interesting to see which ordinance they mean - I sure don't see any reference to locks for guns of any kind in Alameda County Title 9 (Public Peace, Morals...) or anywhere else.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page

Plus the link you posted says delivered with. Doesn't say I have to keep it on my firearm. Just for the sale/transfer
And I will say that the way it was handled by staff means that their store will never see any of my money ever againLast edited by BostonFan; 11-04-2010, 1:40 PM.Comment
