Quick question? BLM Land and Shooting

I want to go target shooting and was wondering if there was any BLM land in the Bay//Sacramento Area? I went to thier site and the maps were a bit confusing to me. Land nav hasn't been my cup of tea since basic training...

BUMP, I'm interested as well. I tried to get maps from the BLM but they look to be sold out for the ones that we need.

So, I did a little homework. And Putah Creek Wilderness Area out of Winters is just hunting, no shooting. And then theres Eldorado Nat. Forest which allows target shooting as long as your not 150yds near any campsites and homes, etc. But as far as BLM land, I can't find any. And, Eldorado is way too far away. But good to know if I decide to go camping.

Head north 101 about 1.5 to 2 hours from SF and there is plenty of BLM & national forest land from there to Eureka. Just stay out of my favorite spots (I always clean them up so hopefully my spots are hard to find lol)

Yeah, there's a lot of nice BLM land in the D5 deer zone. We were there just this past weekend. It's off the 4, past Big Trees state park. Lot's of forest roads that lead into the wilderness with cool offroad trails. Lots of folks out there go shooting. Unfortunately they leave a mess behind.
