    A good gun belt...

I am about to receive my raven concealment holster for my M&P9 w/ surefire x300 and I am now looking for a good belt to match the quality of this holster. I'll be hitting up some classes next year so that's primarily what I'm going to use it for. Thanks guys!

I have a Beltman Horsehide and the quality is very good. Works great with my Milt Sparks.

I think it can be confirmed that an alien xenomorph is absolutely no match for good ole' Alabama black snake!

Assuming you are looking for nylon?

Wilderness, Galco, 5.11, they all do an excellent job. For courses I like the Trainer's Style belts. They hold upto abuse. Depending on the course you'll put several years worth of abuse on it in just the length of the course.

I'm currently running a Galco trainers belt. Looks brand new and boy I have put it through the paces. I have a good 10 courses on it. Everything from handgun to carbine courses where I have not only kydex mag and pistol holsters hanging from it but drop leg pouches for AR15 magazines, a drop pouch for empties, and a D-Link for hanging onto my ear muffs during my down time (and for instructors to hang onto me during certain drills).

For concealed carry you'll want to look into a nice leather belt. But that is not something you want to wear during a class. You'll ruin its finish (and smell) on day one...especially if it is a rainy/muddy day.

+1. A little more money than other options but many use it as a daily wear belt and get years out of them. That there Clark is a high quality item...

Blackhawk has their CQC Pistol belt at 50% off right now if you order in plain brow or black.

I like the instructor style belts...I have a Galco but I hear that the Uncle Mike's instructor belts are just as good as the WT/5.11/Galco/etc. for half the price.

Depends if you want leather or nylon. I have a Wilderness belt with the 5 stich. The belt is stiff but comfortable. I carry it with my Kaluban Cloak Holster w/ a Surefire X300 for a Glock 19.

I actually do use it as an everyday belt, it's pretty good looking to boot.

I have an Ares Ranger belt that I'm really happy with. I haven't taken any classes and I haven't tried a lot of other belts so take it for what its worth, but I'm really happy with it. I wear it all the time, it made CCW a lot more comfortable after I got it. I don't carry mags on it but I'm sure it would be plenty stiff to carry extra handgun and rifle mags.

I was in your shoes a few weeks ago and was a click away from ordering a wilderness belt with 5 stitch and the csm, an ares belt, and another belt that was based off of ares. Actually, I ordered a wilderness belt but was able to cancel it out.

I realized I could get any of these belts, but decided to see if I could get a decent belt at cabela's since i had a low dollar gift card. I found a cabela's belt that had great reviews and in searching for even more reviews found that Rescue Essentials sold the same belt (made by Bison Belts). Get the heavy duty belt not the other last chance belts.

They happened to be the cheapest I could find, had super fast shipping, and I like the belt. Rescue Essentials also shipped me a mylar space blanket, some free bandage things, and a little rescue essentials instruction card.

                        Good luck!

Ditto the Wilderness belt, and for leather, I love my Milt Sparks belt. It's stiff enough to prevent any sagging, but wears comfortably.
