    Build Parties

We have had a number of AK parties ,but have we ever done a Sten MK3
semi gun build party ? Very cool WW2 guns , featureless ,and not really available on the net. Anybody interested ?

Greg and I talked about it (as I'm sure others have). The issue is that making it semiauto can be pricey. Other than that, I'm all for it. I have a Sten MK III kit and even a tube blank.

Another issue is choosing whether to make it into a rifle or a pistol. Making it into a rifle would require a longer barrel and US-made parts. Making it into a pistol would require removing the stock.

For that matter, VZ-58, PPSh-41, PPS-43, KP-31, KP-44, and other such build parties would be fun. It so happens that I have the kits for them, but not much else. For VZ-58 we can either get an ORF receiver and make it work (not an easy thing, per mrlonewolf, and he'd know), or we can go the cheap and probably not so good route of using a stamped ColdSteelSolutions 80% receiver.
