That is freaky. I'm not sure I understand the physics of it. Not safe. Not smart."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart. Show me an old liberal and I'll show you a man without a brain." - Sir Winston Churchill
"I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!" - Senator Barry GoldwaterComment

I thought it was really cool! I wouldn't have thought it would spin for that long, nor keep its shape so easily. Actually I guess I can see the shape thing, I shot some .40 hollowpoints into sand one time and none of them deformed even the slightest... So weird."The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

Maybe it's similar to putting a warm spoon onto dry ice? Heat causes the ice to turn to gas, which pushes the bullet away from the ice, letting it spin for so long. But when it cools down, it touches the ice and starts slowing down.
I'm just guessing haha

I'm thinking it has more to do with a hot bullet spinning at many thousands of RPMs melting the ice a tad when it touches it, so that the only friction is liquid water on the warm bullet."The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

so a bullet hits the ice, at an angle, bounces up, then comes back down, and since its still spinning on its axis, uprights itself and continues to spin....like a child's toy "top".
I don't buy it..
Its its hard enough to repeal the bullet, the bullet will deform and its spin will be stopped by the impact.Comment
