Purchased weapon in mid June. Delivered to my dealer third week of July. Form 4 signed by Sheriff July 29. Sent to ATF first week of August. Application went pending September 8, approved October 1. God bless Examiner Dana Pickles; he acted quickly with my application.

No. You can go the trust route. I'm just fortunate to be able to have a Form 4 signed by my CLEO. NFA firearms can draw unwanted attention. I like a Form 4 with my name and picture on it to make the legality a bit easier to explain to an uniformed LEO.
