out of state Ruger Lcp question

I have a Ruger LCP that is not registered to me in California. It was originally bought in Nevada by my uncle and was given to me after my house was broken into a few years ago and my only gun i had at the time was taken. I have no real need for such a small pocket gun anymore, can i sell it in California through ppt? He has no interest in the gun and says i can sell it if i can.

    Thanks for any help

depending on where you lived when your uncle gave it to you, it might have been a violation of federal law for him to give it to you. That said, if you own it now in CA, you can PPT it to another CA-resident.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

you don't have to register it in your name before you sell it. Just do the PPT through a dealer and you should be fine.
