I had an interesting experience today at Metroshot. I was buying a new Stag upper and there was a cool LEO [ I think he may have been an FBI agent ] there who brought in a couple of his RAD AR builds to show off to Pat and those of us hanging out. We got into a great chat about his rifles, AR mods, builds and the like and I noticed he had an Eagle Eye 1.5-8X scope atop one of his rifles. He proceeded to tell me that he loved it and was floored by the price to quality ratio- something like 170.00 for the one he had.
By the way this was one cool cop. He let me handle his rifle at lenght and the scope indeed looked absolutely serviceable and well made.
Do any of you have an Eagle Eye scope ? Your impressions ? Disappointments, if any ? Do you KNOW anyone that has one ?
What scout-type variable scopes do you guys recommend at a under 500.00 price point ?
I'm looking for a GOOD 1.5 or 2-8X variable scope and the Leupold version is a little steep.
