I use it all the time I even have a can from the early 70's in my hunting /camping gear. I don't however use it on my firearms unless I don't have anything else at the time?

I always have a can. I don't use it on firearms, never thought of it. Mostly on hinges and tools and locks. It's like duct tape; must have some handy.

          I use Tri-Flo.

I discovered this a few years ago. Great stuff for door hinges, similar stuff around the house, and also on motorcycle chains (because it doesn't dry tacky and attract dirt/dust).

My Uncle used it when he was stationed on the Nimitz, good enough for that carrier, good enough for my door.

Keep some handy in the toolbox.
I just used some to lube the innards of an old, corroded and frozen saltwater fishing reel.
Now, the old reel works again...
