    Ideal Safe Temp / Humidity

I got my hands on a pretty decent temperature & humidity gauge which records high, low, & averages. I also have a golden rod in my safe as well. After a 48 test time my avg was 75deg & 47% RH. The RH seems higher than desirable for gun storage.

Any thoughts on what is ideal?

What was the outside temp? The way a golden rod works is to keep the inside warmer than the outside. You don't want bone dry either, it will shrink wood stock. 30-60 is typical comfortable range for humans. Perhaps a few dri-sorb packs if you want it dryer in there.

Mine is typically 80f and 29% (in Arizona)

California seems much more humid, though
