A bit of a rant, but the "Help me pick" threads

All seem to start with "I want a z, but abcdefghijkl...y, are ugly, too expensive, not metal, not plastic, too big, too small, etc.

If you really want help, and I do click on all these threads to see if I can help, why throw away all the options when you start? It appears that the only help desired is to validate the original poster's preconceptions or prejudices. Why ask for help at all? Just pick according to your playbook and be happy, or not.

maybe we should start a thread dedicated to figuring out what kind of gun you like. have questons to ask your self and tips for how to figure out what to buy. just a thought

Most of the time the decision is already made and the poster is just looking for some validation.


Dont you listen to the libs(I know), all gun owners suffer from low self esteem and thats why we buy guns to bolster our self immage...JK
