I'm talking about picking one up bringing it home and then it never leaves the safe, or never goes to the field or range ect. I bought a savage 10fp never fired it once, traded it off 6yrs after I got it. Any of you ever do anything like that?

I have 3 guns that I have not shot. I have all intentions to shoot them one day.Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Yes. I bought a 91/30 about 7 months ago. Haven't shot it yet. Bought a taurus pt22 about 6 months ago... haven't shot it. Traded my POF for an Israeli heavy barrel FAL about 2 months ago... haven't shot it yet. Welcome to the haven't shot it yet club!Comment

A couple of ARs, a handful of mosins. Every 1911 I've sold and kept I shot at least once. I can't resist Big 5 specials, I can resist rifles and I can't resist fondeling and playing with any 1911.Last edited by Sam; 09-22-2010, 7:27 PM.Comment

I know what you mean, The savage was trader for a mini 14 that went to
Acurracy Systems and had about as much work done to it for what I paid for the 10fp. That was before I got my AR so now I sure wish I had that .308 back. The ruger has turned into a safe queen.Comment

yup...1941 johnson, matched pair of NIB Browning 42, commerative 100 year anniversary Stevens Crackshot, NIB 1836 Pattersons with Ivory grips...the list goes on...TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
