    borrowing long rifles while hunting

When hunting, can one borrow the gun of another person? Must that person be with you?

yes (as long as there are no AW legalities), and i don't think it matters if they are there...but it's always easier to bring them and help drink the beer you gave them as payment for borrowing the gun....DOUBLE WIN!!!

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

I loan one of my shotguns to a buddy who doesn't have one.
