    Century International U-Fix-Em Experiences?

How have your experiences been buying any U-Fix-Ems from Century? Has it panned out to be a decent deal getting the missing parts and making a complete gun? Would you buy a repaired one or a poor condition one which the poor condition is a tad more.

I've only ever bought military surplus U-fix 'ems on my C&R license. I bought 7, and 5 were much better than expected. In fact, 2 of them were virtually new with no damage or missing parts whatsoever. The remaining two were let done by rusty bores.

This is much easier to do with mil surplus rifles as parts can be found on Ebay, Gun Broker, and at gun shows, etc. I know you are talking about a Chinese shotgun for $49. If you need any replacement parts, this is going to be your big stumbling block. If you really want to chance it, buy two (or even three), build one (or possibly two) good gun, and use the other for parts. You'll be paying FFL transfer fees anyway, so many FFLs charge only an extra $20 for each additional firearm on the same transfer/ DROS. You might find you strike gold, and receiving shotguns that are working fine and need no parts, you could sell the spare gun(s) to recoup some money. It's a crap shoot to be honest.

When Century say repaired, I assume they mean it is now working and complete? When Century call something "Poor condition", it usually is going to be ugly.

I am thinking of doing a military surplus so i can use my C&R as well and have it shipped directly to my house.

if you are doing like Mosin Nagant UFixems this is an easy and fun way to usually break even on purchases. I bought like 5 M-91/30 ufixems, kept 3 and sold 2 for enough to break even on the Ufixems themselves. I dont do it intending to sell guns, but can almost guanantee there will be at least one that I dont need LOL.
