It doesn't really make a difference. But the first days will have the higher likelihood that the smaller vendors' reps will be there. And if you care about cheap swag (e.g. keychains, stickers, pins, etc) then the first day is better for that.
If you have a media badge, then you can go to the media day (takes place day prior to day one of the exhibition halls) which is a live fire event with the various manufacturers.
