I just sold a 1938 vintage Savage 99 to a guy in Ga. Can a rifle this old be sent right to him or do I have to go through a dealer, which is fine with me? You folks have been very helpful here so I give my thanks in advance.

If he has an 03 C&R FFL, it's okay.Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

If the guy lives in Georgia, he must provide you with a copy of his FFL03 (C&R) license. If not, you must ship to a FFL 01 (dealer). This is a result of the firearm being sold across state lines. For Sale: Off Roster Handgun Moving Sale

Thanks, everybody. I got his dealer's FFL and we're doing it right. Or carefully at least.Comment
