    Ever heard of...

an O/U 22/380??? Yes you read that right, not 410, a 22 over 280 combo rifle? It is C&R (60-70 yrs old apparently) but the owner knows next to nothing and my research has turned up nothing. Anyone heard of this? Dunno which forum it should be in since its rimfire, centerfire and C&R. Any help would be great, I have found NOTHING.

I have a relative that lives in Colombia that has a Over/Under rifle. And its like that 2 different calibers. Cant recall the calibers though. But he has had that rifle for a long time.

sorry it is 380. And yes I have seen the rifle/shotgun combo, but the owner says this is 22/380. I will confirm when I see it, but I would not be surprised if it is 22/410

Drillings are three barreled gun with any combination of rifle and shotgun barrels.

Cape guns are side by sides with one rifled and one smooth-bore barrels

Over and under rifles are just that. Most commonly they are chambered in the same cartridge but some are chambered in rimfire/centerfire combinations. They are still used and made mostly in Europe.

Is it marked ".380"? Or, could it be a 9mm Flobert? I could easily imagine a european garden gun like that.

Having a hard time visualizing an O/U in .380. I'm betting 280 Remington or more likely, 270 Winchester. Actually, he may have just transposed a number and he meant 308.
I was offered a Savage in .270 on top, 20 ga. on bottom in lieu of cash for some work a few years ago. It looked like a really handy gun...fine quality too. I turned it down because I doubted the guy was the legal owner.
