Glock to discontinue OD?

Gave up on finding a deal on a used G23 and ordered a new one in OD. Was told that they were to discontinue the color. They said that they had a hard time finding me one. Looks like they've already dropped production...

Glock discontinued the OD framed Glocks around early-Q3 2010.

Glock also discontinued the RTF2 Glocks for civilian sale.
They are being restricted to LE only sales.

AFAIK...
Due to low civilian sales and the RTF2 Glocks were original created per request from LE for a more aggressive frame texture for use in wet/humid enviroments. So, they are keeping it around for LE contract runs only. Such as the LE contract run for the Glock 21SF RTF2 (there were some overruns in that contract that were released to the civilian market by a LE distributor).

Not to mention how aggressive the texture was. Glock toned it down for Gen4 pistols and seems to hit the right spot from what I've heard

As for OD Glocks, it probably won't happen unless you order 20,000 of them. There was a thread on another forum by person who actually went to Glock factory in Austria and that's what he said.
