Few questions about guns

I have a few questions about DROS, Magazine Capacity, and Gifted Guns and couldn't find some of the answers on the forums. So I will post the questions that I couldn't find answers to.

DROS
1. Are handgun and long gun DROS different? Like say if I wanted to purchase a handgun and shotgun together, I would be paying only 1 DROS fee?


2. If I were to purchase a pistol today and pay DROS, then decide to purchase another pistol within the 10 day DROS waiting period, is it possible to combine it and only pay one DROS? If yes, within how many days does it have to be?


3. If yes to above, is it possible to DROS from two different locations while only paying one DROS fee?


Magazine Capacity
1. Can you shoot 15 rounders for pistols at shooting ranges or 22 rounders for gsg5 at the range? To be more specific, Angeles Shooting Range in CA.


Gifted Guns
1. My uncle's friend left the Country 10+ years ago. His friend gave him a mini-14 and walther p38. So I found out my uncle has these guns, so hes interested in selling them, but he isnt the owner. Would these guns be considered off list?

2. How can he sell them if he wanted to?

3. He also asked me If it was legal to shoot a robber in his house in a life threatening situation with these guns? I told him I didn't think so because the guns are registered under him. But I just want to make sure.

Yes, you can put up to 3 longguns on 1 DROS, Handguns it is 1 DROS per gun.

NO.

3. If yes to above, is it possible to DROS from two different locations while only paying one DROS fee?

No, different FFL means different books means seperate fee per FFL

Gifted Guns

Not considered "Off List", thats a whole other issue. He can sell the long gun no problem as long as it is not stolen. He should voluntarily register the p38, hopefully also not stolen, and then can do normal PPT for the sale.

The law of greater evils comes into play,but as this is Ca. best not to especially with the unregistered Handgun.

Yeah the pistol and rifle are definitely not stolen. But maybe the two guns are already registered under his friend, unless they didnt register guns 10 years ago....

So my uncle can go and register them again even if they were registered before? Also, where could he register the guns at? I am assuming any tuners or ammo bros.
