NV gun coming to CA process?

i have a cousin that has a glock (.40 cal) not sure of the model yet but he said he would sell it to me.... Anyways he received this glock in trade for tattoo work....which is legal in NV am i right?

but i wanted to know what is it i have to do to get the gun here legally?

obviously it cant have a mag with more than 10 rnds. and id have to go thru an FFL and ship it to a FFL here in so cal right.

anything else im missing? should i worry about the gun not having a registered owner like ca would req?

which glock? Make sure the model is on the CA safe list first.

If it is on the safe roster, have him send it to your FFL (make sure they accept from an individual) and then DROS it like you would any other gun. The CA FFL can charge as much as they want for the out of state transfer and can charge you tax on the value of the glock. Transfer fees around $75 including DROS are reasonable.

I WILL FIND OUT WHAT MODEL IT IS BUT IM PRETTY SURE ITS A STANDARD GLOCK EITHER 22,23 OR 27. BUT I WAS PLANNING ON GOING BACK TO NV IN OCT SO HE COULD FINISH MY TATTOO AND ID JUST GO WITH HIM TO A GUN SHOP AND HAVE THEM TRANSFER IT..

HOW DOES THE FFL WORK DO I HAVE TO GET AHOLD OF MY GUN SHOP FIRST OR CAN IT ALL BE DONE AT ONCE?

        First, don't use all caps.

        Second, it sounds like you
are going to a dealer in NV. It must be an FFL in CA.

FEEDERAL LAWS prohibits the transfer of firearms between non-licensed residents of different states, unless the transfer is done through a FFL dealer in the receipant's state of residence.

Your cousin legally acquired the handgun in NV.
In order for your cousin to legally transfer the handgun to you, the handgun needs to be transfered through a CA FFL dealer.

The handgun needs to be on the approved list.

You need to find a CA FFL dealer that will accept the transfer.
You then send the CA FFL dealer's info to your cousin, who then ships it to the CA FFL dealer.
You do DROS/4473 at CA FFL dealer and wait 10 days.
