Holy Backorder, Batman!

I got a shipping notice from Cabela's today. For something I ordered in EARLY FEBRUARY!

I know that Winchester PDX1 is hard to get, but woah...

It took about 15 months for a large Cabela's order to finish for me. Powder, primers, etc. Everything was on backorder when I initially made the purchase. It slowly trickled in over the next months and months...

I'm at 5 weeks on something Cabela's originally told me would take two.
Just received a notice this morning informing me it will be about two more weeks.
Disappointing.

Years from now, we may look back at 2009 and the early part of 2010 as the "The Great Ammo and Component Shortage." Things have seemed to be getting better for the past few months, though primers, some powders and (I'm told) .22 LR ammo are still tight.

It's been 18 months since I placed a big order and I still don't have several pieces. What's more frustrating is they claim they don't have it in inventory, yet I see them everytime I go into the Reno store. I would just pick them up in Reno, but I got them on a great sale online. So I just have to wait and grumble everytime I go into the Reno store.

Wow, I guess I should count myself lucky then. I placed an order for some stuff back in July and finally got the last piece 6 weeks later. It was just a Blackhawk Serpa.

Same for me. The PDX1 finally shipped after like 4 months and I went immediateley to their site to get more (assuminmg they now had it in stock) and it was again/still backordered !

Yeah, I got some ammo that was on backorder forever. They even emailed me and asked if I wanted to cancel the order. It was .380 auto so I kept it on backorder until it arrived.
