    Shipping a firearm

    My brother is in the Air Force and was recently stationed in Alaska. My father has a 7mm magnum and wants to send it to him. My question is do we have to send it to an FFL in Alaska? I don't know the gun laws there, if anyone knows the help is greatly appreciated.

      Federal law applies here, not state. An FFL needs to be involved for interstate shipments.
