    Exempt with C&R

Picked up a gun the other day and used my c&r as proof of address. The guy says that with a c&r lic. i dont have to take the safehandling test, is this true? He also said that if i get a COE that with both C&R and COE that out of state stores will ship c&r handguns straight to me, misinformation, right? He also asked if i was a LEO because i was picking up a P64, he says they are not legal here yet. These guys should know what there saying before they go and tell customers about gun laws, correct.

even with a coe handguns cannot be shipped directly to you. the only exemption a cr and coe gives you is it waves 10 day wait on c&R and exempts you from 1 in 30 day.

if you have a C&R + COE and are picking up a C&R handgun, then you are exempt from the HSC. And because you are exempt from the HSC, you are also exempt from the HSD.

not legal. that doens't mean that an unknowledgable out-of-state FFL wont do it.

he might not have known that the P64 was recently added to the C&R list, and therefore, exempt from the roster.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
