    Can you identify this gun?

I saw this picture on a Philippines website and am not familiar with the gun in the picture. The optics looks like Mepro's.

Wikipedia says it's a "TAR-21 (or simply Tavor)...an Israeli bullpup assault rifle chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition with a selective fire system, selecting between semi-automatic mode, burst mode, and full automatic fire mode."

Actually, I'd never even seen that gun before.

I just went to Wikipedia and typed in "Phillipines Army" and Wikipedia came back with "Did you mean: philippine army" (double P instead of double L)

So I clicked on the link for "philippine army" and it brings up a list of all firearms used by the philippine army. I scrolled down the list until I came to the only firearm that I had never heard of and clicked on that link. It was the TAR-21.

'Cause the MARS sight is made by the Israeli company Mepro.

A mars sight also has A infrared targeting laser Incorporated into it.

The Tavor only became available for export and fielding to Israeli troops starting in late 2008, the weapon was developed earlier then 2008 but had many reliability issues, when the show future weapons was shot the tavor was still being debugged. It is now reported from combat experience to be very reliable, excellent ergonomics and good lethality. It is now serving with besides Israel, in limited numbers, Columbia, Thailand, Philippines,India, Guatemala, and several others. Charles daly company before going out of Biz was reported to be work on a license agreement and production in the US of the Tavor

Not going to be happening unless someone steps up to import them. KBI / Charles Daly had come to an agreement with IMI / IWI to import a US civilian-version of the Tavor, but unfortunately, KBI went under in January this year.

FWIW, the Royal Thai Army have adopted the Tabor, too.
