What if that Transferee, who lives in the same residence, had another safe and the Transferer had no access to the safe? Does that count or is that treading on thin ice?

Maybe this should go to 2A Forum? It's getting more complicated.

Yes, it is thin ice. Whether the ice breaks or not would depend on the opinion of the prosecutor (who may or may not charge) and the jury (who may or may not convict). I'd be comfortable doing that if I were in this situation, but that's just me.

So basically if you get a TRO/RO you can say good bye to EVERY gun you own. Youll get some great prices for the guns Im sure. My neighbor had to do that to a Beretta. he got a whole 300$ for a gun that will easily sell for 450-500$+

I'll try to dig it up over the next day or two. (I know, easier to ask, but we frown on those who don't do research and just want to be spoonfed).

I know it was posted before because it was a ah-hah moment for me. Just need the right key works to lessen the search. I was going backwards from last page of search results going back 10 pages worth of threads trying to find the answer. LOL

Question about TRO's. A good friend had a BS RO put on him from an out of state ex trying to make him suffer and gain court leverage in a family law case. He went to her state and hired an attorney to fight it, End result was a mutual agreement to have it dropped to a TRO and he came back home. He is under the assumption that due to the TRO he cannot purchase a firearm... Is this true? Can someone that has a TRO put on them legally own a firearm after the expiration of the TRO? sorry to thread jack but this seemed like an appropriate place to ask the question. Thanks in advance.
Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms should be a store not a government agency.

I recall a thread or two about this subject, but you're right - you need the right keywords to fish them out. I'll do some research. Scary stuff. I just told my cousin to work on a contingence plan if something happened. All these strange transfers back and forth. Reminds me of offshore banking!
