"Value of firearms will be estimated by a qualified range master."

This should be interesting, no flat rate?

And they're going to have a "qualified range master" estimate the value of each gun, before they pay you with a gift certificate from some unnamed source? Call me crazy, somehow I think that range master is going to be a cop and won't know dik about dik. Range master is a very loose term and mean nothing. And usually these buy backs include a no questions asked guarantee and this does not. Good luck with that.

Pffff bunch of amateurs can't run a gun buy back. Nobody is going to turn in anything unless they know how much they're getting for each piece yo. But if they just get gun off the street that will be a huge victory.........sob.....sniff...sniff.

          Checks this crap out.

"This type of gun was used to end Councilman Matt Garcia's life" (purchased at a garage sale)

And if it was indeed purchased at a garage sale, it is illegal and not common. Nobody is condoning that. Of course they won't point that out, so anybody that doesn't care about guns looking at the site will assume that's the norm.

You prefer a yet to be named gift card over cash? Sell it here, somebody will buy it. Or you can just use it as a door stop.

I wonder what would happen if you took a firearm there that was worth a couple of thousand dollars with a appraisal from a certified firearms appraiser ?

That's a good idea, take one gun and clean them out.

I'd be curious to see if they could appraise a $3000 1911, or better yet bring in a Browning 1919 and a Barret .50 BMG just to watch the looks on their faces, and then walk out when they don't offer fair market price. HA. Epic that would be.

Why would you turn over a 1919 to be destroyed?

Even my liberal UC schooling told me that gun buy backs were a waste of time and effort. This a true mark of ignorance and stupidity.
