my wife's uncle called cheaper than dirt to inquire about some .223 ammo for his AR-15. the operator asked him where he was calling from and he stated california. this is where the interaction got nasty. the operator stated to him its a shame he lives in california and he needs to go to a free state. Her uncle kept his cool and stated he knows about the laws in california but due to circumstances this would not be reasonable. the operator stated "you are as dumb as the rest of the people in california. it is because of your state we may lose our gun rights for the U.S.!!" i would not have believed this occurred but it happened as he had the operator on his speakerphone in his office. we both looked at each other as i was in the room attempting to purchase some .22lr for my gsg-5. he ended the call and stated "someone must be having a bad day!" to this day i am in shock about what i heard during this conversation!

Cheaper than Dirt can go to hell. More California citizens should be aware of pro CA gun companies and the anti ones. Its more like expensive as ***K.

I ordered a whole bunch of stuff from them not to long ago while at the academy. I didnt run into this problem. But I have heard of others who hit this road block. I just can't fathom a company who would virtually boycott an entire state.

After spending a lot of money with them, I dumped CTD years ago when they wouldn't sell me an Airsoft target (just a standard cheapie swinging target) because I was in CA. I must have spoken to the same person, as she told me it was my fault for living in CA and not voting everyone out. There were and still are too many other vendors to put up with that attitude.

Aside from their CA policies, you should call back and file a complaint with her manager. No operator should speak that way to anyone over the phone, especially a past and potential future customer.

There is nothing wrong with CTD at all, they have some peculiar issues about parts sometimes but they are many times larger than most other vendors and it's to be expected. But overall they offer a tremendous number of items at low prices and fast shipping to CA.

Anyone still crying forfeits there man card.

As far as there other non FA stuff goes - these boots for instance are 40 bux and totally kick ***
