I think it is time to ban steel clubs on the range!

I was playing another course right next door when it happened. Nasty blaze. It was also the day the club re-opened after a long closure for renovation - I guess that'll go down in club lore.

Club striking rock in rough - and here I thought it was some guy flicking ashes from his $50 cigar...

A few months ago I had planned to go shooting with a friend, but he wanted to go to the Driving Range to hit some balls. Long story short, he dislocated his shoulder and we got to spend the rest of the day in the ER. Shooting is much safer than golf in my opinion.

Funny, but this post is in the wrong forum.

A golf course is a waste of a perfectly good shooting range.

If only shooting sports were as widely recognized, accepted, and integrated into our society as golf.. that would be great.

Wow I was living less than 1 mile away from that golf course just last week. Glad I was lucky enough to have moved before I had to deal with the smoke and ash...

                  Anyways, that sucks.

Insurance doesn't pay when it is from a guy flicking ashes off a $50 cigar.

That story is bull. The guy put his cigarette down in the rough and forgot about it and then didn't want to admit it after he started the fire.

I guess my timing was bad.

A golf course is an outdoor insane asylum, peopled by madmen, who are suffering from the delusion they will finally master the game.
