Hello all. In a few week I am traveling to lone pine to climb mt whitney. While we are there we want to find a good place to shoot my handgun and ar. I know the area is mostly blm, but would like to shoot at a place that others go to. Please let me know of any areas. thank you

I believe there is a range there in Lone Pine or Independence. Somewhere among these forums there is a thread where a guy tells of his BLM spot, couldn't help you on that.The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. -
If going up 395 stop by the blk office in ridgecrest, they will tell you where to shoot. There's also a range at ridgecrest. Are you going up via whitney trail or moumtaineers route.Comment
