The third option is a FAIL, because the OD color makes the lead and grime easier to locate. Therefore, effective cleaning.

OD is okay if you like it, it's not my favorite. Same for FDE, Desert Tan, etc.

I can say that my Kel-Tec SU-16, which is Desert Tan, is becoming stained despite my best efforts.

I have two black XD9's for competition. When I decided to get the XD45 for home defense, I opted to get the OD frame just to have something a little different.

Black is cool and all but man I dig OD green. I have more OD gear than I can shake a stick at but not too many firearms that way. While on the subject, what the heck was Glock thinking? Their OD green is brown, duhhhhhhh.
