Torch 'em, fill out this form indicating "verified destroyed" and submit it to the DOJ.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

        Seriously
How many are actually in the DOJ system?

If you have something interesting or worthy of parts for someone else to complete a long lost relic.....Sell the parts as parts kits.

        Parts are parts
someone is looking you just have to find them.

My God no don't destroy them! How can you possibly consider yourself a gun enthusiast if you would even consider that?
Those things are worth something to someone. Sell them or part them out here, on gunbroker, or give them away!

I got a $100 AMEX gift card in Inglewood last year for a Single Shot 12 gauge that would not get me $40. This 'Buy-Back' would pay for up to 3 firearms, working or not, no questions asked.
Xmas is coming. Look at similar bad areas where PD is likely to set-up a 'Buy Back'.

As a responsible gun owner (and at last count I have over 50) I would feel better about getting these off the street - kind of like a car enthusiast getting an unsafe, rusted out hunk off the road.
                  Ugh howaboutno

A car enthusaist would NEVER do that, I for one am restoring my car...

Sell it for parts, or someone that will restore it. Yes I drive an old rusty car

You could try calling Gun Parts Corp (Numrich). They occasionally will buy old guns for the parts.

Please post up what those "junk" .22 barreled receivers are. I have a lot of old .22 parts for various guns.

People do enjoy taking this junk and making them not junk.

                          display 'em?

The old rusted doubles would make great gifts as display pieces (decomissioned so they can't fire) if they are past restoring. I'd LOVE to hang one in the library above my America Alone and Liberty & Tyranny books... PM me if you plan to do this, I'll buy one!
