    Buying ammo online?

    Hello all,

    I'm relatively new here. I heard that CA was gonna pass a law that prevents us from buying ammo online soon, is this true? If so I need more 7.62x54r....

    Thanks

    The bill is AB962 if you do a quick search you'll find many threads on this which Calguns is trying to fight for us. The law takes affect 1 Feb 2011.

      Another Moisin Nagant lover? This new bill specifies "pistol ammunition". But a lot of internet companies are not going to sell to California, just too much hassle for them. Amazing the things they won't sell to us now!

      About the MN, I love mine. Bought one of those "tin cans" on-line a couple months ago...good price and UPS delivery. Ever fired the MN at night? "Holy magoly" ...the flame shoots out 5 feet. :-}

        @XYZ, Thanks for the info

        Can anyone give me the details on this bill in a nutshell? What ammo will be banned, just pistol ammo? I might have to buy another tin can of 7.62x54r and possibly x39 aswell around Xmas time....

        @Wicked Pete, Heh, you caught red handed!

        I love the old commie guns. I own a Yugo SKS and a 91/30 thats in really nice shape. These guns are just so damn simple and easy to use/clean/take apart. They're truly a fascinating piece of engineering in their own right. Not to mention they're so dirt cheap even I can afford them on my lousy salary between paying for overpriced books and inflated tuition.

          See here: http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/in...%2C_Ammunition

          There's another bill - AB 2358 - to amend the law to include a list of calibers - still in the Senate, not law yet.

          Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

              Like our State Senators will listen to anyone outside SF or LA. If your opinion isn't shared by Los Angeles or San Francisco most legislators in those area's won't listen to you. In my experience of writing them.......

              I now give money to the pro-gun opposition in any area that'll kick out some of these anti-guns nuts like Boxer, Feinswine or Pelonazi..

              only money talks nowadays.

                  "Cheaper Than dirt" has a good deal on 7.61x54r Russian light ball (146 grain).
                  440 rounds in a spam can arrived yesterday. They were originally packaged on the 105th day of 1977. Ran 40 of them through my 91/59 today. Shot very clean and straight.
